Gigaset C590 IP, C595 IP, C610 IP, C610A IP, A510 IP - Firmware update 2 (version 49, September 2011)


New features:

• E-mail: Up to 6 e-mail accounts can be assigned to up to 6 different handsets and can be accessed in parallel
• MWI notification: Enable/disable MWI light notification for each handset individually
• MWI notification: Set up the light notification for different message types (missed calls/alarms, e-mail, SMS, answering machine, network mailbox)

Compatibility:

• Support of additional Gigaset handsets: A510H and C300H
• Full interoperability with Broadsoft V.17 Switch. CTI support.

Improvements and changes:

• Web Configurator: Addition of a "5 minute installation wizard" to quickly guide you through - not all - but the very important installation steps only
• Web Configurator: Support of 3 new languages  -  Polish, Greek, Portuguese

Remarks:

• If an A510H handset has already been registered to your Gigaset IP system, please register your A510H handset again after running this SW update to get a full compatibility of features.
• The Online Help included in the Web Configurator, to guide you and support you though the installation, will be available first in English and from November 2011 in all the languages we support.

How to update the firmware:
You don't need to download files.The firmware is updated directly online by the Gigaset C590 IP, C595 IP, C610 IP, C610A IP, N300 IP, N300A IP, N510 IP PRO.


You can easily initiate the update by three steps:
1. Menu  »  Settings  »  System  »  Update Firmware
2. Enter base station system PIN (default setting: 0000)
3. Press the display key "Yes" to start the download

If your firmware is already up to date, the handset will inform you. No action is needed then.


How to check for your firmware version
Via Web Configurator:
Status  »  Firmware version  »  Digits 3 to 5 indicate the number of the firmware update.

If you are in a call (> 8 sec):
Options  »  Service Info  »  Scroll to list entry number 4.
Digits 3 to 5 indicate the number of the firmware update.
