Gigaset launches new A class phones.

Munich, May 10, 2012 – Beginning in mid-May, the Gigaset A420 and A420A models will complement the company’s DECT portfolio in the price segment up to 50 euros. The two new devices make a strong impression with a high-contrast display with white backlighting, good acoustics with two sound profiles and high-quality metal dome keys.

Just because a phone is simple does not mean it has to do without useful functions and extras. The best proof of that is the new Gigaset A420 and the A420A with an answering machine. These new cordless phones are designed with uncompromising functionality in mind. The handset’s good fit in the base station, its ergonomics, the generously sized keypad that can be operated precisely and the excellent legibility of numbers and letters on the large display are the features of a phone that is low-cost yet perfectly designed down to the smallest detail.

But the A420 and A420A can do even more: Their practical convenience features include night mode, which enables users to define a period of time when they are not disturbed by the phone ringing, or the possibility of muting anonymous calls simply and easily by having them indicated on the display only.

With its convenient call management system, direct access to missed calls using a function key, a handsfree function, illuminated keypad and a phonebook with space for up to 100 entries, the A420 has everything it needs.

Its somewhat softer shape, the high-gloss display borders and a back structured with annular engravings give a modern touch to the new product line in Gigaset’s A class.

The Gigaset A420 will go on sale in mid-May in black for the recommended retail price of €39.99, while the model with an answering machine will have an RRP of €49.99. Gigaset also offers the A420 as a duo variant with a second handset; the A420A is available in duo and trio versions.
