Gigaset Communications proves that practical and highquality technology can be packaged beautifully and ergonomically with its new Gigaset A510. The all-round phone for the whole family impresses merely with its look, boasting a successful, elegant design in the acknowledged Gigaset style. The Gigaset A510 can also be personalized visually with four different background colors for the large graphics display.
The Gigaset A510 unites an elegant appearance and tried-and-tested technology into an easy-to-use all-round phone for the entire family. It recently captured the red dot Design Award 2011 for its stylish, ergonomic housing in the popular Gigaset design. One special feature of the Gigaset A510 is that the color of the backlighting for its large graphics display can be tailored to the user’s personal taste. Four different background colors – blue, green, red and yellow – are available for selection.
Acoustic and optical VIP caller function
The Gigaset A510 offers a feature for recognizing VIP callers and signaling them optically and acoustically. If a special ringtone and/or separate display color is assigned to an entry in the phone book, users can see from a distance who is on the phone even before they take the call. Optical call signaling with its four color variants is especially practical if the feature for turning off the ringer is enabled. This allows users to select a period of time, for example at night, when the phone is not to ring.
Tried-and-tested technology for everyday use
The new A class phone from Gigaset with its very attractive value for money offers everything needed for telephoning. Its generously sized phone book can hold up to 150 contacts with their number and a VIP melody and display color. The volume of the integrated handsfree function can be set to five different levels. Even calling together with a large group is pleasant with the Gigaset A510 thanks to its separate loudspeaker with excellent sound quality.
Simple, clear navigation
Navigation through the settings menu and calling the functions is very simple thanks to the four-way key and the two context-sensitive display keys. A special message key takes users directly to a list showing the last ten missed calls. The Gigaset A510A offers extra convenience thanks to the answering machine integrated in the base station: The answering machine list can be called directly using the message key in order to listen to stored
messages.
ECO DECT: Energy-saving and radiation-free1
The Gigaset A510 has an energy-saving power supply unit to minimize consumption. As with all Gigaset cordless phones, the transmitting power of the A510’s handset is reduced depending on the distance to the base station. ECO mode reduces the transmitting power during calls by 80 percent2. In addition, ECO Plus mode completely1 switches off the transmitting power in standby, even if multiple handsets are registered.
Prices, colors and availability
The Gigaset A510 has a glossy housing in black or white. The new all-round phone is now on sale and costs 39.99 euros (recommended retail price). The Gigaset A510A variant is also available and has an answering machine that is integrated in the base station and can record up to 25 minutes of messages. It is likewise on sale now and has a recommended retail price of 49.99 euros. Both versions also come in a package with a second handset, including a charging cradle. The recommended price for the Gigaset A510 Duo is 59.99 euros and that for the Gigaset A510A Duo 69.99 euros. The Gigaset A510 A Trio (in black) is priced at 89.99 euros.
