Family-friendly and flexible: The Gigaset ISDN cordless phones with ECO Plus mode

Versatile, functional and aesthetic – the new Gigaset CX590 and SX790 ISDN models meet all the requirements families and multi-person households demand of a cordless phone with full ISDN functionality. The Gigaset SX790 ISDN’s many business functions also make it ideal for use in the work or home office. Thanks to the ECO Mode Plus feature, both phones are completely radiation-free in standby mode.

Elegant all-round ISDN phones for the whole family

The new Gigaset ISDN phones enable all members of a household to be reached on their own handset and under their own number, as well as to call each other free of charge. Up to six handsets can be connected to the base station and up to ten different numbers (MSN) assigned. The Gigaset CX595 ISDN and Gigaset SX795 ISDN variants of the two models have an answering machine that can record up to 55 minutes of messages. The answering machine of the Gigaset SX795 ISDN can be split over three numbers, with an individual announcement text for each of them.

The Gigaset CX590 ISDN’s handsets feature an address book for 150 entries, each with space for three telephone numbers, and twenty different ringtones so that every member of the family knows right away whose phone is ringing. The volume can be set as desired using the five-level controller, while the Gigaset SX790 ISDN’s handset also has a convenient side rocker switch to permit simple adjustment of the volume during calls. Crystal-clear calls using the handsfree function or a headset are possible with both models. An especially pleasant feature: Anonymous calls are only shown on the display and the ringtone is silenced. Both models offer the family-friendly baby alarm function: A second handset is automatically dialed if the noise in the children’s room exceeds a specific threshold. Call forwarding to a mobile phone is also possible. An alarm clock with a configurable melody and snooze function, SMS messaging when calls are missed and a reminder of contacts’ birthdays round out the range of features.

The ECO DECT functions of the Gigaset model minimize radiation: If ECO Mode is enabled, the transmitting power of the base station and handset is reduced by 80 percent, even during calls. With ECO Mode Plus, the base station is turned on only once a call has been set up or a baby alarm is activated. It is completely radiation-free in idle mode. In addition, the handsets reduce their transmitting power depending on their distance from the base station – to 15 percent within a radius of eight meters, for example.

Phoning and working at the home office with the Gigaset SX790 ISDN

The Gigaset SX790 ISDN rounds out the technical equipment users need at a home office. It offers all ISDN convenience features such as call waiting, broker’s call or three-way conference calls. 500 contacts can be stored in the address book, with up to three numbers for each entry. When a number is dialed, it is shown in large font on the high-quality 1.8 inch color display. The clearly structured menu guidance with its modern icons makes it easy for users to navigate to the item they wish.

The free Gigaset QuickSync software enables data to be synchronized quickly and easily between the phone and computer via a mini-USB port. The phone’s address book can be synchronized with MS Outlook or ringtones and photos transferred from the computer to the phone, for example. The Gigaset SX790’s integrated calendar offers space for 30 appointments a month and reminds users accordingly with a separate ringtone. The last 20 calls – outgoing, incoming and missed calls – are listed on the phone along with their number and time.
