Gigaset S810 with Bluetooth: The ideal contact manager for office and home Elegant all-rounder with a flexible contact directory and top-of-the-line handsfree features
Munich, May 31, 2011 – Europe’s market leader Gigaset Communications has launched a new and powerful phone for discriminating private customers and business users in small offices: The Gigaset S810 with a metal keypad. This elegant premium phone offers a first-class, high-quality handsfree function, is fully compatible with the new Gigaset L410 handsfree clip and has many other convenience features. A headset can be connected via Bluetooth, and the phone book, which has space for up to 500 contact addresses, can be synchronized with the Outlook database on a computer. Thanks to the Gigaset QuickSync software, it also enables CTI telephony between a Bluetooth-capable PC and the handset. vCard data can also be transferred between a mobile phone and the Gigaset S810 via Bluetooth.
The Gigaset S810 boasts an excellent handsfree function with brilliant sound quality during calls and telephone conferences, whether there is just one caller or a group sitting around the phone. The phone’s acoustics can be adjusted to suit the user’s personal preferences: It offers four different handsfree profiles to ensure ideal sound quality. The volume adjuster on the side of the silver-colored housing is also very practical.
Complete mobility with the handsfree Gigaset L410
The Gigaset S810 is fully compatible with the new Gigaset L410 handsfree clip, which enables more multitasking. Since this innovative device weighing in at just 30 grams is easily attached to clothing, users have their hands free and thus have complete freedom of movement when making a call – without cables or a headset in their ear.
Convenient contact manager for the office
The Gigaset S810 copes easily with the growing volume of contact data for business partners, family and friends. The address book holds up to 500 entries (vCards), each with space for three numbers, an e-mail address and the date of birth. When a call is received, the phone shows the name of the caller – and also which of the three stored numbers he or she is calling from. The contact data can be maintained quickly and easily on the PC and then transferred to the phone using the free QuickSync software via USB cable or wirelessly via Bluetooth. With a Bluetooth-capable PC, users can set up a call via the CTI (computer telephony integration) interface of Outlook directly from its contact list at a click of the mouse. Vice versa, Outlook shows the caller’s details on screen when a call is received if the number has been stored in the Outlook directory.
Appearance and material blend harmoniously
The Gigaset S810 is based on the proven technology platform of its predecessor, the Gigaset S790, and like that model, it impresses with an elegant and harmonious design. The rugged metal keypad gives the handset with its 1.8” TFT color display a classy look. The shiny black surface of the base station has a silver-colored ring running around it to match the handset’s design – an eye-catcher in any environment.
S810A offers an integrated, powerful answering machine
This elegant professional phone also comes in a version with an integrated answering machine, the S810A (A stands for answering machine). The digital memory can record up to 55 minutes of messages, thus ensuring that no call is lost even if users are away for a longer time. The answering machine even retains stored messages in the event of a power failure.
ECO DECT – intelligent power adjustment
State-of-the-art switched-mode power supplies ensure low energy consumption. It goes without saying that the two Gigaset S810 models have the proven ECO functions. In ECO mode, the device’s transmitting power is reduced by 80 percent. The transmitting power is also adjusted automatically in keeping with the distance of the handset from the base station. In ECO Plus mode, the device is completely radiation-free when in standby and is only activated again when a call is received .
Affordable convenience for everyone
The two S class models are now available. The Gigaset S810 has a recommended retail price of 79.99 euros, while the version with an answering machine costs 99.99 euros. As an extension for existing base stations, Gigaset is launching a handset, the S810H, with a charging cradle at a recommended price of 79.99 euros.
