Update procedure:

Do not switch off your Gigaset SE551 WLAN dsl/cable during the updating procedure.
Updating can take several minutes.

  1. After starting the file all important information files will be extracted to:
    c:\Gigaset_WLAN108\SE551
  2. Close down all network activities on your local network. The version of the firmware currently running on your device is displayed in the line Current firmware version.
  3. To start the firmware update, open the WEP interface of the router. Click on  the „Advanced Settings“ – „Administration“ – „Firmware Update“ and click on „Browse“ to select the firmware version or enter the path and the file name of the firmware you have downloaded from the internet.
    (File name: Siemens-se551-v2.706-20070213-fwui.bin)
  4. Click on  „OK“. The firmware will now be updated.
    Do not switch off your Gigaset SE551 WLAN dsl/cable during the updating procedure.
