Flexible: thanks to IP technology.
Digital and Internet-based calls are the latest developments in phone technology. The new "Voice over IP" telephone standard brings numerous benefits such as outstanding HD sound quality, three numbers per connection and the option to make multiple phone calls at the same time. Our cordless Gigaset HX universal handsets allow you to enjoy all of the advantages of this new technology. As they're compatible with all DECT/CAT-iq-enabled routers, such as FRITZ!Box or Telekom Speedport, they're incredibly versatile — so you can carry on using them even if you change your router.
Safe and secure: call protection with more.
Much more than a typical caller blacklist: With the Gigaset E720HX, you can select green illumination of the display for known callers and recognize trusted callers at a glance. All you need to do is save these trusted contacts in the handset directory and activate the item “Serious callers” in the Accessibility menu.
You can also choose stricter call protection by defining a whitelist that accepts calls only from familiar contacts.
One of the special features of the Gigaset E720 family is the direct dial function for emergencies: You can specify up to 15 numbers that are put through automatically when a call is made. (PIN-protected). You can talk to the caller using the hands-free function on your handset without having to accept the call.
Smart function: Bluetooth connection to a hearing aid.
Look forward to more freedom when taking a call: This phone lets you take calls via a direct connection to your hearing aid. Because, thanks to Bluetooth 4.2, Gigaset E720HX cordless handsets enable easy integration of modern hearing aids. This makes taking and making calls even easier – and more convenient, too: You have both hands free and enjoy crystal-clear voice transmission.
The handset must be close to the user to ensure optimum microphone function.
The Gigaset E720HX is compatible with Phonak, Unitron and Hansaton hearing aids and potentially with other brands whose products support Bluetooth with HSP and HFP protocols.
Practical: the boost key.
In some situations, it can’t be loud enough. You already have a choice of five different levels for the speaker volume. If that’s not enough, you can easily double the speaker volume by pressing the Boost key on the right of the handset – this works only for the duration of the call in progress to avoid startling the next person making a call. As is familiar from many other Gigaset phones, the Gigaset E720HX offers two acoustic profiles that enable the enhancement of low or high frequencies to match your personal hearing abilities.
Bigger is better: the large font function.
Gigaset E720HX phone for senior citizens offers you a large, high-contrast color display with a loupe function for displayed characters. For instance, a contact selected from the handset directory will be automatically magnified and highlighted in orange. If the magnified name is too long for the screen, it will appear as a moving “crawler” display. The numbers entered when dialing are also highlighted in this color and displayed in extra large format. And in poor lighting conditions? The screen illumination makes everything perfectly legible.
Peace of mind: the SOS function.
You can assign especially important numbers to the four direct dial keys and dial them directly by pressing a single key. An SOS function for use in emergencies can also be assigned to direct dial key A. Up to four SOS numbers can be assigned to this key for calling important contacts such as relatives or neighbors.
This is how the emergency call function works:
1. After activation of the SOS function (direct dial key A), all four assigned numbers are called in succession. This is repeated up to three times until one of the contacts answers the call.
2. The person receiving the call hears the emergency call message: – either a standard message or a message recorded by you (E560A only).
3. When the participant called presses key 5, the two parties can speak to each other.
Convenience: talking dial keys and spoken caller ID.
With a Gigaset E720HX, you are always in complete control and can have the numbers you dial read out and spoken for confirmation. The number of the incoming caller is also announced when the contact is registered in your handset directory. Even more practical: The caller’s name can also be announced. Simply add a voice recording of the name to the entry in your handset directory.
Efficient: for a short distance to the telephone.
With the Gigaset E720HX, your telephone is always close at hand right where you need it: That is because you do not need a basis station anymore; the handset is wirelessly registered directly on the DECT base station of your Internet router. This means you can flexibly place the E720HX anywhere in your home. In addition, you can register additional HX handsets on the router or a Gigaset base station, for example, for the bedroom, the kitchen, the hallway or the workshop.
Environmentally friendly: radiation-free calling with ECO DECT.
Like all the Gigaset cordless telephones, the E720HX is also fitted with environmentally friendly ECO DECT technology. The telephones are radiation-free in standby mode, even if more than one mobile unit is being used, as long as the base and all the registered mobile units support ECO DECT. During a call, the transmission power automatically adapts to the distance between the base and the mobile unit. The shorter the distance from the base, the lower the radiation. For maximum DECT range, you can deactivate the ECO DECT mode at any time.
